Class Is in Session: Two New FENTY x PUMA Creeper Phattys
When and first debuted the in 2015, the platform sneaker crashed the Big Cat’s website and posted big sales across a range of colourways. It went through multiple renditions before the partnership between RiRi and PUMA quietly , but when the two came back last year with , it was only a matter of time before the Creeper crawled its way back into focus. Shortly after the renewed partnership debuted, it did , but this time in a chunky version, taking the OG Creeper and making p-h-a-t. Fresh off , the is hitting shelves again, this time in two back-to-school editions.
The FENTY Creeper is Rihanna’s take on the iconic PUMA model, which originally debuted in 1968, but the Creeper Phatty looks as if the model has been pumping it out in the gym, with a bulky take hitting the whole silhouette. The chunked midsole adds height, whereas the wide, puffy tongue gives it more skater vibes. The new iterations deviate from the namesake, hitting up the upper in smooth corduroy, save for a suede tongue. With one of the colourways in red and white and the other in triple-black, it’s giving classic uniform vibes, which is exactly what they intended, stating that it’s ‘your new daily uniform’. Both iterations also feature gold aglets – elevating the overall look.
Whether you’re actually going back to school or not, class is definitely in session. The new FENTY x PUMA Creeper Phatty colourways in ‘Black’ and ‘Club Red’ are available right now via PUMA.
