Finn Rush-Taylor Studio and Zellerfeld Team Up Again for the NAMI 3D-Printed Shoe
are one of the most exciting prospects in the sneaker scene right now. Their MO is democratising that is made-to-order and designed to fit its wearer perfectly. After maturing their continually improving processes and opening up their beta program to more wear-testers, the start-up has linked again with close collaborator Finn Rush-Taylor Studio to release the new NAMI model.
Besides the fact it’s 3D-printed, the NAMI is also unique in that it was designed with the aid of virtual reality, allowing the shoe to be visually sculpted with 360-degree access, rather than the traditional method of sketching on a flat plane. The ability to print the shoe also allowed it to be rapidly prototyped and tweaked on demand without needing to create samples back and forth between designer and factory. The result is a vibrant purple, laceless design with rich textures throughout the upper and sole, which all began as a strand of TPU.
The FR-T Studio x Zellerfeld NAMI is available to order now for Zellerfeld beta testers. New testers are regularly selected from a pool of applications. Register via their app.
