First Look: The adidas Yeezy 500 High ‘Frosted Blue’
Originally landing in July 2018 in the iconic ‘Blush’ colourway, the continues to arrive in more vibrant tones for 2021, the latest Yeezy 500 High ‘Frosted Blue’ bringing plenty of ice-cold drip.
Debuting in December 2019, the high top version of the Yeezy 500 has unfortunately only seen intermittent releases on our calendars, the idiosyncratic silhouette (ostensibly taking cues from the Yeezy Desert Boot) famously teased by Kourtney Kardashian on Instagram.
Digressing from the signature earthy tones (‘Salt’ and ‘Bone’) emblematic of the Yeezy brand, the ‘Frosted Blue’ is one of the more eye-catching Yeezy silhouettes to date, the puffy Neoprene uppers illuminated in royal blue. Interestingly, the Yeezy 500 High ‘Frosted Blue’ has reverted back to the toggle pull lacing systems similar to its ‘Tyrian’ relative.
Another watershed moment for the Yeezy brand, the 500 famously strayed from the brand’s classic Primeknit uppers in favour of the combination of suede, mesh underlays, and cushioning via the adiPRENE foam.
Look for the adidas Yeezy 500 High ‘Frosted Blue’ to release sometime in April. The price tag is locked at $220.
