First Look: The Air Jordan 4 ‘Starfish’

Originally taking flight in 1989, Michael Jordan famously laced the Air Jordan 4 before hitting ‘The Shot’ against the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 1988-89 NBA post-season. With only six seconds left on the shot clock, Jordan nailed a jumper that punctuated his immortal journey on the NBA hardwood.
The first Air Jordan to see a global release, the AJ4 also featured in Spike Lee’s seminal Do the Right Thing, a film documenting racial tensions over the course of one day in Brooklyn.
Now, the legendary Air Jordan 4 is set to release in a women’s-only ‘Starfish’ colourway, the sneaker scheduled for release in January next year. Composed in ‘Sail’, black, ‘Starfish’, and ‘Light Smoke Grey’, the latest AJ4 is manufactured in ballistic mesh. Of course, implementing the iconic grid mesh pattern and rubber outsole featuring herringbone, the Air Jordan 4 looks badder than ever.
Look for the Air Jordan 4 WMNS ‘Starfish’ to release on January 21. The retail is currently locked at $190.
