First Look: Nike Dunk Low N7
Let’s face it: there’s no stopping the . Recently brought to the world’s attention once again by hip hop superstar and serial-collaborator Travis Scott, the Dunk has risen to jaw-dropping popularity in 2021, the silhouette arriving in both high-profile partnerships and in-line Nike colourways.
While the Dunk continues to prove king of the skate park and streets, the classic Dunk has proved no shrinking violet, the classic silhouette recently leaked in Halloween, 'Crimson Tint’ and ‘University Blue’ renditions. As we enter a new decade, Nike’s vintage 1980s basketball silhouette is still as relevant as ever.
We’ve now got our first look at the Nike Dunk Low ‘N7’, the bold design breathing life into the lives and stories of indigenous communities. A team founded to spread awareness of Native American communities globally, N7 have included a range of traditional patterns, colours and techniques in the design. The Swoosh, for instance, is exposed with braided leather materials (that extend to the heel tab). On the uppers, exposed, hand-stitched detailing reaches the purple suede. Tan leather overlays strike the tongue and lace dubraes, with ‘N7’ branding further emphasising the design goals. White midsoles, gum rubber outsoles and special ‘N7’ packaging complete the design.
Look for the Nike Dunk Low ‘N7’ to release in June 2021
