First Look: The Air Jordan 1 'Board of Governors' Will Be Limited to 88 Pairs
The half-and-half received a predictably warm reception when it dropped earlier this year, and now a version utilising the ever-popular blue colourway has surfaced.
Revealed by Jordan Brand athlete , the ‘Board of Governors’ Air Jordan 1 swaps the red ‘Banned’ and ‘Chicago’ elements for a ‘Royal’ and -esque hybrid make-up. The mismatched aesthetic features split AJ1 colour-blocking with hits of white and black to complement the blue. Michael Jordan’s signature is engraved on the heel, lace tips, and insoles, while ‘B.O.G.’ (Board of Governors) is printed on the back heel tab. The reference to the Board of Governors remains unclear, but it could possibly be a nod to the NBA’s rule-making body.
Pics from sneaker leakers kickingitatx suggest the release will be limited to only 88 pairs, so it looks like you’ll need VIP-status to receive a pair. Stay tuned for more updates!
