The continues to enjoy a perennial foothold in sneaker culture across the globe, the legendary silhouette enjoying another blockbuster year in 2020.
The original sneaker outlaw, the AJ1 was famously banned in 1984 because of its disruptive black and red colourway (Jordan was fined $5000 every time he wore the sneakers during the 184-85 NBA season). Still, the AJ1 did its job, the first signature sneaker helping the precocious talent cement All-Star and Rookie of the Year honours (Jordan averaged 28.2 points per game).
Restructuring the Air Jordan 1 with the latest cushioning, the Air Jordan 1 Zoom Comfort ‘Canyon Rust’ is the Jordan Brand’s most recent colourway, with a palette composed of Canyon Rust, Sail, and Purple Smoke. Largely constructed with suede, the upper features a cut-out mesh Swoosh, offering material and visual diversity. Meanwhile, Zoom Air branding provides a new visual element to the tongues.
