Frank Ocean X Vans Sk8 Hi

Frank Ocean X Vans Sk8 Hi

Right now the internet is going crazy fiending for the upcoming Frank Ocean album Boys Don't Cry, his sophomore effort that was rumoured to be released back in July. Last month came and went without the highly anticipated release dropping, driving the thirst for new material from the R&B singer to epic proportions, but in the last few days people noticed his website being taken down and improved, suggesting that everything was being poised for releasing the album. As part of the site refresh, fans were given a first look at the merchandise that will accompanying Boys Don't Cry; simple hoodies and shirts that featured re-appropriated NASCAR iconography, but what got our attention was this pair of sneakers titled 'Yohi Yamamato Y-3 Sneakers'.

The sharp sneaker experts at Sneaker Freaker HQ have actually deduced that this sneaker is in fact not a pair of Y-3s, but in reality a pair of Vans that was probably labelled as a designer sneaker in jest. Given Odd Future's history with over the last few years, it's no surprise OFWGKTA member Frank Ocean would turn to the Californian-based skate label to create a collaborative sneaker to coincide with Boys Don't Cry. Just like the album, there's still no word on when this mellow yellow Sk8-Hi will be releasing, but all signs are pointing to an imminent release any day now. We'll keep you posted OF fans!
