All eyes may have been on the this weekend, but Copenhagen Fashion Week was also in full swing. Having quickly established itself as a platform for new emerging brands and talent, Copenhagen Fashion Week is supported by , with the Scandi label supporting the event financially via the CPHFW NEWTALENT, as well as running regular exhibitions and sustainability-focused initiatives throughout the week. To preview the next instalment of their collaboration this year, GANNI invited four Copenhagen-based designers to bring their perspective to the upcoming GANNI x New Balance , and they'll platform them all via an exhibition closer to the collaboration’s launch in September.

Reimagining the T500 in a way that felt relevant to them, Bonnetje, MASCULINA, Camilla Skov and Ojuna Njama Petersen each offer up different takes on the tennis-inspired silhouette. Bonnetje, known for reworking suits, takes elements from the T500s tongue and work it into a high heel, while MASCULINA embraces chaos by spray painting the uppers and strapping them into a platform stiletto. Camilla Skov takes a more interpretive route, playing with raw materials and turning the pair into a ceramic sculpture, while Danish-Mongolian artist Ojuna Njama Petersen imagines her pair through felting.

While these interpretations won’t be available to buy, the GANNI x New Balance T500 will. Decking out the 1982 tennis classic with a (slightly) more maximalist approach than normal, GANNI stamp their cult classic leopard print on the heel tabs and insoles, while ensuring that the construction is as sustainable as possible. Peep the pair above and look for them to launch exclusively at GANNI on September 20.
