Gilbert Crockett and Vans Drop New Crockett Highs and Lows
Pro skater Gilbert Crockett has been a member of the family since 2009, and since then has starred in memorable video parts, received multiple pro models and garnered respect for his unique style both on and off the board. Now, Crockett and Vans are keepin' it rolling with new takes on the Crockett High and Low plus a special capsule of apparel.
Both the high and low Crockett models are made from sturdy canvas and suede, with branding provided by a diamond-shaped tongue badge and an outlined Jazz Stripe. The high-top offers a military-esque look with its mixture of a grey upper and a black midsole, while the low-top opts for a more yin and yang style by combining marshmallow and black. Each also utilises DURACAP rubber midsoles that can withstand strenuous skating sessions, vulcanised Wafflecup outsoles and a drop-in PopCush sockliner with a dragon graphic that supplies impact protection and energy return in equal measures.
Accompanying the duo of kicks is a collection of apparel inspired by Crockett's love of vintage clothing. It includes hardy chinos, a chambray shirt, a hat and a tote bag, but the standout pieces are a chore coat with Crockett's own dragon artwork on the sleeves and a long-sleeve tee with Crockett-crafted spiders on the elbows.
The Gilbert Crockett x Vans Crockett High and Lows – plus their matching apparel collection – are available now via the Vans webstore. Prices range from $28-$80.
