Gore-Tex Gets Converse to Toughen Up
Following their military-inspired , are ready to get gore-y again. This time around, they've dropped three -coated colourways of the Utility Hiker.
The Utility Hiker forms part of Converse's 'Urban Utility' collection, which sees classic silhouettes dressed to face the great outdoors. They're dragging us to the hills to get us on that hot hiking wave, and there's little we can do to stop them.
But the hills have eyes, and we're here to judge! This Utility Hiker looks like what may happen if the got its hands on a stash of rare hikers steroids and went wild. The entire upper's coated in protective Gore-Tex so the Chuck can keep up with the industry's current obsession with ensuring all models are waterproofed. Three foot straps lock you down, and some rope-like laces tie it all up.
That trusty Chuck Taylor sole has stuck around. It doesn't seem like any major adjustments have been made to this sole unit, so it'll be interesting to see how it fares on frosty trails.
