This is a skateboarding edition of the classic Blazer basketball shoe, so it has upgraded components like sturdy leather and canvas uppers, Zoom Air insoles, and thick rubber midsoles. Grant Taylor, the Nike SB rider who spends a fair bit of time in this model, takes the rugged inspiration to the next level, with a clear homage to Nike sub-brand , via the clever ‘GTP’ triangle logo flip on the tongue label. The tribute continues with the brown and purple upper that’s joined to a black speckled sole – ACG nerds will instantly spot shades of the , circa 1991. The neoprene/nylon tongue and heel tab with the orange trim is a dead giveaway of the source material. Three sets of included laces offer a whopping 15 different combinations! Kudos to you, Grant Taylor.
