Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele is known for his seamless blending of high fashion and sportswear, and he's played to his formidable strengths on the collection's first releases, a plethora of delightfully kitschy 1980s-inspired sportswear and sneakers that appear as if they've been pulled straight from the pages of a vintage fitness catalogue.
The key sneaker in the collection is adidas' classic , which is remixed with premium materials, bold prints and bright colour schemes. There are also chunky sandals, hard-bottom loafers with Three Stripe detailing and even some wild clogs. Tracksuits are the apparel offering's focal point, but there's also everything from polos to sweater vests, skirts, dresses, bowling shirts and more. There are even adidas logo-equipped bowling bags! Most of the design interplay occurs between adidas' Three Stripes logo and Gucci's red and green web monograms.
