Haven and Vault by Vans Upgrade the OG Lampin VLT LX

How does the old saying go? 'If it's so nice, run it back twice?' That's probably not 100 per cent correct, but it's applicable nonetheless in the case of the latest Haven and Vault by Vans colab: two takes on the Haven and Vault by Vans Upgrade the OG Lampin VLT LX. Following up co-created efforts in 2019 and 2020, the latest from the Canadian retailer and Vans' premium lifestyle arm uses simple colourblocking and elevated materials to upgrade a leisurely skate classic.

Arriving in no-frills bone and black makeups, each OG Lampin VLT LX offers an upper made of hairy suede with water-resistant properties. Its signature half-moon upper cutouts take on tonal nubuck for a material contrast, while UltraCush insoles and leather liners upgrade the comfort. In short, the design is classic Haven: luxurious and elevated, but not in-your-face with its detailing, an interesting change as past Lampin LXs created by Comme des Garçons​ 's CDG sub-label and Opening Ceremony have veered toward the louder side of the spectrum.

The Haven x Vault by Vans OG Lampin VLT LX collection is set to release via the Haven webstore and Haven's Toronto and Vancouver outposts come October 23, and is priced at $150 CAD. In-store releases are going down at 12:00 PM local time, while the online drop happens at 11:00 AM EST/8:00 AM PST.
