Haven Launch the Nike ACG Mountain Fly Low with Exclusive Colourway
Canadian boutique are known for carrying an eclectic assortment of technical and milspec-inspired clothing and footwear, so they were the perfect party for to help launch their latest Mountain Fly Low. A chopped-and-dropped alternative to the Mountain Fly from last season, Haven have put their own exclusive spin on the gravel-grabbing trail shoe, and shot a suitably stealthy editorial to highlight it.
Despite the decidedly dark colourway of Haven’s SMU, the near-monochromatic finish actually emphasises the multitude of textures found on the Mountain Fly Low. Ripstop nylon uppers are effectively a non-negotiable when it comes to ACG offerings, and that’s matched to now-ubiquitous rubberised welded overlays on the toe bumper and heel counter for optimal boulder bashing. Haven have a particular penchant for reflective accents throughout their body of work: find the sparkly stuff woven throughout the laces, heel strap, and the rather subversive honeycomb pattern that subdues the heel’s ACG triangle logo.
Elsewhere, the Mountain Fly Low reprises the same performance tech used in its higher sibling. There’s a mix of React foam throughout the midsole, and the carbon-infused Flyplate embedded inside adds some spring to the step. The aggressive lugged outsole is a morphed waffle type, which is combined with the rigid Trailframe structure for supreme grip (and pure ACG nerdery). Haven finish things off with a bit of speckle sprinkle on the midsole – SF approved!
This Nike ACG Mountain Fly Low will be available exclusively from Haven’s webstore from January 30.
