October 27, 2022: Following an initial release earlier this year, pairs of the Hello Kitty x Superstar have popped up once again, this time on 43einhalb! Shop them at the link below.

Iconic Sanrio character Hello Kitty is no stranger to the sneakersphere, having adorned plenty of models across a slew of brands. The most iconic is the Hello Kitty x Nike Air Presto from 2004, designed by Steven Smith to help celebrate Sanrio’s 30th anniversary. It was given a retro release this year, with activations planted in retailers all over the globe for the highly-anticipated drop. Now, adidas have joined the feline frenzy, giving their Superstar a full Hello Kitty makeover.

The whole upper has been composed using mostly white leather, with Three Stripes, side perforations and iconic shell toe blending into the base. Specialised Hello Kitty details come through on the rear lateral through a printed graphic, and the heel panel and outsole have also been given the polka dot treatment alongside custom laces with charms. The highlight of the collaboration is the swing tag and box, which see Hello Kitty rocking a head-to-toe Three Stripes tracksuit!
