Hidden.NY Tease Their Ultra-Limited ASICS ‘Aqua Relic’ Colab

Having started life as an Instagram moodboard, have carved themselves out a route to becoming a cultural consultant, tastemaker and bonafide collaborator. The brand now has projects with the likes of and and Wander under their belt, but their partnership sees the brand produce more frequent (and consistently delicious) drops. With a number of HIDDEN.NY x ASICS releases having hit shelves earlier this year, the duo is reuniting for one last hurrah before 2024 ends, with an ultra-secret, ultra-limited model touching down soon.

Teased in the form of a pixelated image, it’s not yet been revealed what the upcoming HIDDEN.NY x ASICS silhouette will be, though the anonymous account owner did share some further details on the colab via an Instagram Stories Q&A session. Limited to just 25 pairs, the project serves as a way for HIDDEN and ASICS to experiment with new design technology, with the story hinting at the result being an ‘entirely new shoe’. HIDDEN.NY also revealed that aesthetically, the shoe’s ‘Aqua Relic’ colourway and material make-up was inspired by wheat-pasted advertising walls in NYC, which usually see multiple layers and peel off with wear over time. HIDDEN confirmed that the shoe is initially subject to multiple layers of dying, painting and finishing, with the final pairs being processed by their own team and finished with ASICS’ experimental label. Due to the nature of the finish, each pair will be unique.

As it stands, HIDDEN.NY has stated that he may never show the shoe online, leaving the 25 lucky owners to enjoy them before they no doubt decide to post them themselves. The shoe is expected to drop on Day 3 of HIDDEN.NY’s holiday store, which is scheduled for December 23. Good luck!
