Racecar Meets One Star On Ibn Jasper and Converse's Latest Colab
is one of oldest friends – and his longtime personal barber – but he's made quite a name of his own on the creative front as well. Apart from working as a barber and an image consultant, he launched , his own footwear brand, in 2018, and linked with to create a special in 2019. Now, Ibn Jasper and Converse have joined forces once again for two fresh takes on the .
Arriving in a Lakers-esque 'Black/White-Spectra Yellow' and a crisp 'White/Black-White,' each style seems to feature heavy racecar inspiration. Large black rubberized details with a tire-like tread rise from the outsole onto the upper, and the heel features a 'suggested PSI' graphic to further the inspiration. There's also a checkered rally flag graphic embroidered on each tongue, and, as can be seen below, the cork insoles feature racing stripes and a #2 hit.
Besides all the automotive-themed details, the Ibn Jasper x Converse One Star offers a supple leather upper with suede toe cap and heel overlays, a large heel tab and layered eyestay details. Flecked laces with gold lace tips complete the offering.
Expect the Ibn Jasper x Converse One Star collection to release via the Converse webstore and select global retailers on May 20. Each pair will be priced at $150.
