In-Hand: The Yeezy Foam Runner ‘MX Cream Clay’
One of the more polarising silhouettes in the footwear industry, the continues to catapult into the zeitgeist, the extra-terrestrial design revealed in a starburst of colourways in 2021.
Already revealed in ‘MXT Moon Grey’, ‘Sand’, and ‘Mineral Blue’, we’ve now got a closer look at the ‘MX Cream Clay’, the colourway originally teased on Kim Kardashian’s Instagram Story.
Splattered with grey and brown, the light beige uppers bring a three-tone contrast to the latest design. An integral part of Yeezy’s eco-conscious catalogue, the Foam Runner is comprised of a single piece of unique Yeezy material that blends harvested algae with adidas EVA materials.
‘We’re going to be farming and going seed-to-sow, and have our own cotton hydroponic farm and our own hemp farm and our own wheat farm so we can see every element and get into how we can have less impact with the dyes,’ West told the crowd at Fast Company’s Innovation Festival back in 2019. ‘Our colour is a big signature of the brand, but also dying is one of the main things that’s impacting the planet in the fashion industry... so we’re just being responsible from A to Z.’
Look for the adidas Yeezy Foam Runner ‘MX Cream Clay’ to release this month. The price tag is locked at $80.
