In-Hand: The Union L.A. x Air Jordan 4 ‘Taupe Haze’

Chris Gibbs’ Union L.A. continue to empower their imprint with some of the most coveted Jordan Brand collaborations in the game, the boutique blowing-up the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 4 in recent times.

A lightning rod for the sneaker custom community, the boutique will celebrate their 30th anniversary this year with another rendition of the Air Jordan 4 – the AJ4 ‘Taupe Haze’ joining the ‘Desert Moss’ colourway.

We’ve now got an in-hand look at the Air Jordan 4 ‘Taupe Haze’, the silhouette manufactured in a luxurious mix of suede and mesh. Translucent wings again return, while UN/LA lateral tags, pre-folded tongues and hangtags add to the overall aesthetic.

‘The vision here was to mix suede and mesh, so we worked really hard to find the right materials’, Gibbs said of the original inspiration behind the design. ‘For the suede, we took hints from other products with really thick but plush suede… For the mesh, we wanted an old-school mesh like the OG sneakers of the 80s’.

Look for the Union x Air Jordan 4 ‘Taupe Haze’ to release in June 2021.
