Introducing the Plant-Based Reebok Forever Floatride GROW
Towards the end of last year, we got word that was diving head first into the sustainable sneaker game, and it seems as though they’ve perfected their landing with the – their USDA certified plant-based sneaker. With consumers becoming more conscious than ever about what they buy, this is definitely a step in the right direction for Reebok.
The Forever Floatride GROW has been a long journey for the ‘Bok, and they made sure that although made from plants, it’s also still built for performance. The upper has been constructed from eucalyptus trees, while the sockliner is made of BLOOM algae foam. The midsole has been built with sustainably grown castor beans, and the outsole made from real rubber trees.
To release the silhouette, Reebok will be teaming up with Boston-based Siena Farms to drop an exclusive limited-run of community supported agriculture shoeboxes packed with fresh produce. They’ll hit Reebok UNLOCKED with special packaging on October 1, while a wider release (without the special packaging) will launch via Reebok’s webstore on the same day.
