The Invincible x N.HOOLYWOOD x New Balance 1906R ‘Grey Swan’ Is Loaded With Details

Taiwanese retailer Invincible are celebrating their 15th anniversary by linking up with Japanese brand N.HOOLYWOOD and New Balance on the recently revived 1906R. Dubbed the ‘Grey Swan’, this collaboration revisits some concepts used in their last 2002R effort while also introducing some new ideas.

While largely a grey sneaker due to the brand partners’ favoured colour, there is more than meets the eye. A mixture of five different materials on the upper result in a texturally rich surface, introducing much more suede and gauze mesh than previous 1906R releases. There are little pops of colours via the faux vintage midsole treatment, plus a handy hi-vis orange pull tab augmented onto the external heel counter. The collaborators share branding real estate via embroidery on the toe bumpers and the multiple lace options.

The Invincible x N.HOOLYWOOD x New Balance 1906R ‘Grey Swan’ will release on October 8 via Invincible and N.HOOLYWOOD locations across Asia.
