First Look at the Jacquemus x Nike Air Humara
Simon Porte Jacquemus' eponymous label are best known for their tiny handbags and bucket hats, but last month they announced an expansive collaboration dubbed 'Le Paper.' Now, their first pieces of co-created Swoosh footwear have been revealed: two takes on the , a shoe that Porte Jacquemus has described as his all-time favourite Nike model.
Jacquemus' duo of Air Humaras are not full-on remixes, moreso a tasteful reimagining of the classic hiker that removes some of its OG vibes for a more city-ready look. Each presents a clean leather quarter panel with a teeny-tiny metallic gold Swoosh, plus a duo of fabric overlays borrowed from the cult favourite Nike Pocketknife – one of which rises to the top eyelet, the other of which wraps around the heel. If you look closely, you'll also spot some special Swoosh-adorned aglets at the tips of the laces. From a colourway standpoint, one pair offers a mixture of brown, tan and black shades with just a dash of hot pink, while the other opts for a crisp combo of tan and bone tones with accents provided by gum outsoles and small touches of burgundy.
The shoes were revealed after Jacquemus posed a question to their Instagram followers on June 13, asking if they'd like to see the sneakers. Less than 24 hours later, they were revealed! This first look heightens the anticipation for the 'Le Paper' release after Euphoria star was photographed in Jacquemus and Nike at the top of the month.
You'll be able to cop these kicks and their matching apparel come June 28. A MSRP has yet to be announced.
