Laced with Love: Jae Tips and Saucony Tease a Jazz 9 Worth Swooning Over

Designer continues to turn heads with some of the boldest collaborations in the sneaker industry, and his latest Jazz 9 project with is no exception. Fresh off a stellar 2024, Tips unveiled his newest creation at an exclusive event in Paris, this time starring the Saucony Jazz 9 and fittingly titled ‘I Love You But I’m Busy'.

A love letter to the creative passion that sneaker design inspires – and the strain it can sometimes place on relationships! – the Jazz 9 showcases a candy-coloured blend of vibrant hues, including pink, yellow and teal, balanced by earthy tones. The embroidered phrase ‘I Love You But I’m Busy’ on the heel underscores the challenges of chasing dreams while navigating personal relationships. Perfectly timed for the lead-up to Valentine's Day (always a for sneakerheads), the Jazz 9 features premium suede and mesh materials for durability, while its playful mix of colours and patterns transforms the sneaker into a kind of wearable art – complete with Jae Tips's signature flower on the laces!

The Jazz line remains one of Saucony’s most iconic series. Introduced in 1981, the Saucony Jazz Original quickly became a go-to for runners thanks to its lightweight design, superior comfort, and performance-focused build. Over time, the Jazz series has grown through various updates and collaborations, becoming a favourite not only among runners but also among sneakerheads.
