The Apartment Go GORE-TEX on the New Balance 801 ‘Toucan’

New Balance come correct in Japan, linking up with seminal Americana boutique - the Apartment - on a GORE-TEX-upgraded 801 dubbed the ‘Toucan’. With its super-bright yellow, black, red, and blue colourway, it’s easy to see how it got its moniker.

The retro trail-running 801 is a cult favourite in Japan, and is right at home on the shelves of the Apartment. They’ve chosen colours synonymous with outdoor gear, which also happen to adorn the rainforest-living toucan. Unexpectedly, these shoes would be comfortable traversing the Amazon, thanks to a hardy leather and ripstop upper, GORE-TEX lining, and hardcore metal hardware.

It looks like these will only be available from the Apartment in coming weeks, so call your JP plugs.
