JD Sports Australia are living and breathing their ‘Undisputed King of Trainers’ M.O. with a new Nike Air Max 2090 drop that won’t be found anywhere else in the world! The latest colourway of this heritage-influenced, but completely new, model from the Swoosh’s lifestyle offerings doesn’t shy away from its archival inspiration: the ‘Neon’ Air Max 95.

Rather than being a carbon copy of the AM95’s famous ‘greydient’ uppers, this Air Max 2090 is presented in tonal grey uppers that blend lightweight synthetic with breathable mesh underlays. Subtle yet stark neon green accents brighten up key zig zag stitches and the futuristic Air branding inside and out.

However, it’s not just that famous AM95 colourway this new release draws inspo from. After all, it’s a modern take on the Air Max 90 with an updated streamlined shape, and modcons like a sleek integrated lacing system and massive pull tabs. This OG DNA can be seen in the shield-shaped heel tab and exaggerated Air Max heel unit ‘cassette’. Even the outsole carries over the iconic waffle tread pattern, and triple forefoot flex grooves.
