Smooth Operator: JJJJound Refines the Vans Half Cab
Minimalist design powerhouse are once again teaming up with the crew at , this time through the newly rebranded OTW by Vans imprint. Their latest project sees them put their stamp on the So-Cal skate legend silhouette, with a refined, stripped-back aesthetic tailored for the Spring/Summer 2025 season.
The collaboration introduces two understated colourways – black and burgundy – crafted from premium suede. Both pairs feature a JJJJound-esque sleek monochromatic upper, complemented by crisp off-white midsoles. Unlike traditional Half Cab releases, this edition embraces a deconstructed approach, removing any excess detailing for a more streamlined design. Tonal branding on the collar keeps things subtle, while the reworked construction enhances the shoe’s modern appeal.
JJJJound and Vans first joined forces in 2017, debuting a collection of Old Skool sneakers in three – you guessed it! – muted tones, green, brown and white. These pairs stayed true to JJJJound’s signature aesthetic, featuring premium suede uppers, tonal Jazz Stripes, and cork insoles subtly stamped with co-branding. This latest Half Cab release continues that tradition of understated design principles, reinforcing JJJJound’s unwavering commitment to a less-is-more design philosophy.
Currently, we haven’t caught wind of any official release details, but these are expected to drop in Spring/Summer 2025 in the Northern Hemisphere. In the meantime, make sure to check out JJJJound's of footwear collaborations.
