Jorja Smith Hooks Up With Clarks Originals for Desert Nomad Mule
English singer-songwriter Jorja Smith is having another bumper year in 2023. Dropping her latest album, Falling or Flying, in October, Smith is now hooking up with for a reimagining of the classic Desert Nomad (which returned to shelves earlier this year).
Her debut collaboration with Clarks Originals, Smith and her team have removed the rear of the Desert Nomad for a Mule-like aesthetic, while implementing EVOLO suede uppers – a more sustainable material than its contemporary counterparts.
Compostable tonal threading emblazons the toe boxes and perimeters, while collaborative branding strikes the iconic Clarks fobs. Elsewhere, speckled laces provide further visual distinction, while down below, the classic crepe soles still look as fresh as they ever did. Smith also installed some nice silver hardware for definition.
Of course, Clarks Originals have a long collaborative history with the music industry. From 1980s NYC hip hop to and Britpop, Clarks have repeatedly across the globe.
Look for the Jorja Smith x Clarks Originals Desert Nomad to land internationally on October 21. The price tag is $190.
