Don’t Sleep On the JW Studios x Mizuno MXR ‘Kakishibu’

There are stacks of sneaker customisers out there today, yet sneaker brands don’t usually take too much note. However, occasionally talent breaks through. One of those is Jakob Werner of @jwstudios, who stands out thanks to his unique flair and eclectic catalogue, and he's just announced a linkup with for an MXR collaboration.
The MXR is the Japanese brand’s latest teched-out Y2K lifestyle runner. The linkup with JW Studios has been dubbed ‘Kakishibu’ after the traditional Japanese dye made from fermented persimmons, and each pair has been doused in a distinctive tonal yellow using a dying process. A brown fabric has been added at certain points throughout, which is also made from persimmons, while chain stitching and special laces finish it out.
