The Kasina x Converse Weapon Is Inspired by the OG Store in Seoul
Founded in 1997 by former pro skater EunHyuk Lee, continue to serve as a streetwear outpost for sneakerheads in South Korea. With the region experiencing an in recent years thanks to Seoul’s growing count of international, flagship brands, we can certainly expect another strong year from Korean labels in 2024.
The latest collaboration to arrive from Kasina is the a throwback 1980s basketball silhouette that’s been getting a big push lately. For this limited-edition model, Kasina was inspired by the hand-drawn plans and construction of their first store location. Paying homage to the confidence required to follow your dreams and believe in your own ideas, the design mimics the OG Kasina space – a place that provides a structure for free-thinking, creativity and artful expression.
In terms of the Converse Weapon, the bulky leather build was originally introduced in 1986 and worn by the likes of NBA superstars and rivals Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.
