Krink Enters the Vans Vault with Graff-Ready Collaboration
It’s been a while since the sneaker world heard from , the NYC graffiti artist known for his own line of tagging tools from marker pens to paint-filled fire extinguishers. He’s back in the shoe scene with Vault, who have granted him custom access to three pairs of waffle-soled classics including the and .
Vans Vault releases mean the shoes are higher quality and possess more bespoke features that the regular versions aren’t afforded. For Krink, that means a pair of Authentics completely silvered-out with hardwearing ballistic nylon uppers, perfect for a long bombing mission full of fence hopping. This pair is finished with his signature reflective silver branding.
Meanwhile, the two pairs of Old Skools take on more OG-leaning Vans colours with mixtures of black and blue, but Krink adds more reflectivity on the Jazz stripe, and slaps on a yellow graphic reading ‘KRINK NEW YORK CITY’ which references his unremovable slap stickers. Of course, the suede construction and thick rubber soles means these will skate plenty well too.
The Krink x Vans Vault collection releases on March 25 at Vans Vault retailers. There will also be some matching apparel dropping, which includes a coat with an internal stash pocket for markers and other goods.
