Lamelo Ball's Hornets-Themed PUMA MB.01 'Buzz City' Receives a Release Date
As one of the brightest young stars, Charlotte Hornets guard – who was recently compared to 'Pistol' Pete Maravich by Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey – deserves a signature sneaker that's as attention-demanding as his game is. have attempted to provide him with just that by creating the , his first signature model. After debuting in a colourway in December, Ball's kicks are now set to drop in a team-appropriate 'Buzz City' makeup in the early days of February.
Much like the 'Red Blast/Firey Red', the 'Buzz City' has already been rocked on-court by Ball for months, but this will be the general public's first crack at it. It's dressed in a black and teal colourway, with the former shade serving as the base while the latter wraps around the specially branded hits on the collar, throat and forefoot.
Chief among the wealth of embellishments are the wing-like collar pattern and a smattering of Ball's '1 of 1' graphics atop the tongue, plus 'Not From Here' above the toebox, and 'RARE' printed under the outsole. From a tech standpoint, the shoe boasts a special knit upper for mobility and support, while PUMA's high-speed Nitro Foam provides midsole cushioning.
Expect the PUMA MB.01 'Buzz City' to release via the PUMA web store and retailers like Foot Locker come February 4. Its MSRP is set at $125.
