Lil Nas X is Mega-Crushing on Crocs

There’s no denying that Crocs’ colab strategy is interesting, to say the least (name us one other brand that could colab with Drew Barrymore, Palace and KFC), but it’s definitely working for them. The brand continues to grow year on year by tapping into a mix of niche interests and mega-hyped cultural moments and working with a diverse range of talent to bring their fun footwear styles to life. For their latest project, Crocs have joined forces with Lil Nas X, and the result is sure to be a little less controversial than his first footwear project.

Sneakerheads will remember the singer’s early colab with MSCHF, which involved a series of custom AM97s that featured a bunch of satanic references and even contained a drop of blood. The pair caused a stir and resulted in them being sued by the Swoosh, but these Crocs couldn’t be any more different. Instead, the Lil Nas X x Crocs Mega Crush Clog show off the artist’s softer side, coming entirely coated in soft sherpa fleece. Arriving in a tonal fashion, this fleece stretches down to a rugged-looking outsole to make the pair a little more cold-weather friendly. The artist has also dropped a pack of Jibbitz, although given the Clog’s construction, they can’t actually be worn with the colab pair.
