END. and PUMA Celebrate 30 Years of Mangal II With Luxe Suede

Longtime collaborative partners and are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mangal II with a luxe iteration. Founded by Ali Dirik, Mangal II is an iconic Turkish restaurant that has provided an authentic dining experience for East Londoners since 1994. In 2020, Ali’s sons, Ferhat and Sertaç, took over the restaurant and further solidified their cultural presence by putting a contemporary spin on traditional mangal cooking. In addition to the limited-edition Suede, END. and PUMA took the brothers back to West Turkey to uncover the heritage and legacy of their family.

Ferhat said, ‘Coming back to Anatolia for the first time in 19 years has reinforced, personally, my identity, my roots, experiencing the regional cooking and dishes that we grew up with at home, It made me feel very complete. It felt like a very personal mission, and I'll leave here feeling very fulfilled and sure of myself and my family’s roots.’

The Suede takes on the royal blue that features on the restaurant’s exterior for the upper, with a white Formstrip and midsole giving it a crisp balance. Special touches are also added for the celebration, with Mangal II’s signature hallmarking stamped on the heel in gold foil and a ‘94’ for the year of opening. Lastly, co-branding features on the tongue and insoles.

The special edition Mangal II x END. x PUMA Suede is limited to just 300 pairs and will be available on END. Launches on November 29, 2024.
