The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team Is Launching an adidas Superstar
The 2025 Formula 1 season is already set to be mega, especially for Mercedes who are welcoming rookie Kimi Antonelli to their lineup alongside veteran George Russell. That’s not all though, they’ve left long-time sponsor and provider for their German cohorts ! was officially announced on January 7, but that was following a plethora of rumours that circled towards the back half of 2024. The first bit of product as part of this collaboration has now been revealed, coming through in the form of an adidas Superstar in ‘Turbo Pink’.
Traditionally with PUMA, the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 team has produced co-branded race-inspired sneakers on silhouettes like the Speedcat, but occasionally have produced lifestyle models like the X-Ray. As adidas don’t have a motorsport history that runs as deep as PUMA, the freshly-inked duo is diving straight into lifestyle. The Superstar is an interesting choice, and the iteration has been adorned in the standard build in a two-tone pink and black colourway. Mercedes AMG branding hits the rear, tongue and insole to round it all out.

A release date for the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team x adidas Superstar has been locked in for May 1.
