Mimi Plange x Nike LeBron 18 Low ‘Scarred Perfection’ and ‘Mad King’
Ghanaian-born fashion designer Mimi Plange is once again hooking up with and for two scintillating renditions of the the latest colourways dubbed ‘Scarred Perfection’ and ‘Mad King’.
Previously collaborating on the ‘Higher Learning’ and ‘Daughters’ colourways last year, Plange’s 2022 duo again celebrates African cultures.
For the ‘Scarred Perfection’ rendition, Plange pays homage to African body art and identity. Also illuminating the contrasting ideas of tribalism and individuality, the colourway is replete with intricate embroidery and colours celebrating the traditional palettes of Africa.
In terms of the ‘Mad King’ offering, the colourway pays homage to the Bantu people – a family comprised of over 400 ethnic groups in Africa. The lion symbol highlights four-time NBA champion LeBron James, while the icons emblazoned across the base layers represent wisdom, unity and greatness.
Look for the Mimi Plange x Nike LeBron James 18 Low ‘Scarred Perfection’ and ‘Mad King’ to launch on October 14.
