Mizuno Upgrade the Wave Mujin TL with GORE-TEX
are going all in with their entry into the outdoors and GORPcore-adjacent footwear space with their model, which will be boasting a new upgrade. Unlike some brands that opt for tutti-frutti palettes on sneakers that will end up being caked in mud, Mizuno play it straight with tonal black and grey editions of their performance model.
The Wave Mujin TL is named after brand designer Tuan Le and the model is now in its sixth iteration. Its laundry list of tech features begins with the rubber lugged outsoles created in partnership with tire manufacturer Michelin. This is joined to ripstop nylon uppers and welded seamless overlays for durability. As mentioned, GORE-TEX’s waterproof-breathable membrane sits beneath the upper so not a drop of liquid from the outside can penetrate. The Wave component of the model is reflected on the wavy midsole textures, which likely isn’t just a cosmetic element but actually helps disperse energy. On the colourway front, the 50-shades-of-grey pair accentuates the design’s multiple layers, but the tonal black on white is best for stealthy operators.
The Mizuno Wave Mujin TL GORE-TEX will be available on August 12 from retailers including Footpatrol and Hanon.
