Go Outside in the Mizuno Wave Mujin TL GORE-TEX
are going from strength to strength in the outdoor space with their design, which was recently upgraded with waterproof-yet-breathable membranes. The latest batch of colourways is a touch more colourful than previous releases, but the overall execution remains restrained to really accentuate the layered design.
The ‘TL’ in the model name stands for Tuan Le, the famed Mizuno designer whose sketches of a prototype shoe inspired the Wave Mujin TL. This new duo taps back to the performance ethos and aesthetic intended by the brand, opting for heat-welded synthetic layers and durable ripstop uppers. This seamless look is also an advantage when using the aforementioned GORE-TEX membrane, resulting in a near-impermeable seal. Underfoot, the model’s namesake Wave tech shows up on the zig-zagging midsole layers, which are then fused to the lugged rubber tread that comes by way of tire manufacturer Michelin.
The colourways for this new release are suitably tasteful, with the beige, cream and teal combo a timely expression of visual trends, while the shades of teal execution on the second pair is a further exploration of moodier blues.
The latest Mizuno Wave Mujin TL GORE-TEX colours arrive at Mizuno’s web store on February 7.
