Mountain Research Bolster the Reebok DMX Trail Shadow

Japanese label Mountain Research (originally known as General Research between 1994-2006) have linked up with to appropriately rework the .

Drawing on the great Japanese outdoors, Mountain Research rebuild Reebok’s trail muncher in tonal yellow nubuck. It’s no deadass workboot reference though – it actually refers to ‘O-DO IRO’, aka ‘Yellow Soil’ that is found in particular regions across Japan.

Other subversions to the regular DMX Trail Shadow include perforated vector logos and various Mountain Research slogans printed across the tongue and heel. The result is a clean tonal take on a usually complex design.

It will release at Mountain Research first on April 27, before a global release on April 24 from selected Reebok retailers.
