MSCHF x INRI Nike Air Max 97 'Jesus Shoes' Selling for $3000
Brooklyn creative hub MSCHF called on the help of INRI (Iesus Nazaraeus Rex Iudaeorum) to produce a custom filled with 60cc of actual holy water from the River Jordan.
By owning a pair, the wearer can follow in Jesus’ footsteps by walking on water, just like in Matthew 14:25.
Biblical embellishments are aplenty, with red insoles scented with Frankenscence in reference to the Vatican, a steel crucifix on the shoelaces, and Matthew 14:25 inscribed on the toebox. The packaging is also straight from heaven, featuring a seal that is modified from the official Papal Seal, and an angel on the box excerpted from Albrecht Durer’s 1514 engraving Melencolia I.
The pairs sold out in quick time, but you can still cop on for around $3000.
