Naked and adidas Team Up on the Response CL

The adidas Response CL is Team Trefoil’s answer to the early-2000s runner trend, and resurfaced very recently in two ultra-clean colour combos. A hybrid crep, it's been crafted using the upper of 2003’s Response Cushion, while the sole takes design cues from a slew of older adidas silhouettes.

If you’re into the trend, then you’ll be happy to know that the collaborations are rolling in! First up, Team Trefoil are teaming up with Copenhagen-based women’s sneaker store Naked, and they’ve dived head-first into the Noughties aesthetic with metallic accents.

Dubbed the ‘Mercury’, Naked have plastered the uppers with white mesh, before opting for metallic silver overlays. Pops of yellow and subtle hits of blue provide a touch of colour, helping the black Three Stripes branding on the lateral and medial sides to shine through. Down below, your foot will be cushioned by an adiPRENE midsole. Completing the heritage-style hybrid, Naked make their mark on the co-branded insole and both lace tips.
