Naked and ASICS Whip Up a Pair of Crispy GEL-1130s

Naked has absolutely solidified itself as a go-to destination for womens kicks for many around the globe, stocking a wide range of brands and styles from low key heaters to straight up hype. Back in May, they collaborated with adidas on a glistening pair of Supernova Cushion 7s – which had the perfect amount of iridescence! Only a few months later, they've announced that they're keeping the collaborations train running hot, with news that they have worked on another co-created pair with ASICS!

Focusing on the ASICS GEL-1130, they've delivered a vintage-inspired take on the archival model, designed for everyday wear. This latest interpretation is a sustainable and vegan friendly take on the silhouette, inspired by the ASICS message to 'live uplifted'. Recycled materials have been used to build out the mesh uppers and overlays, as well as the tongues and shoelaces. Inside, you'll find that ASICS' hometown, Kobe is marked on the insoles. The shoebox has also been created from recycled cardboard.

The Naked x ASICS GEL-1130 is releasing soon! The pairs will see an initial release via the Naked webstore, plus in-store, on August 11, 10AM CEST, with a global release to follow the next day, at the same time.
