Take Your Rotation Up a Notch With the Latest New Balance 1906Ds

Rotation staples form the basis of any good sneaker collection, and the New Balance 1906R has been leading the charge. Since its grand return to shelves in 2022, the silhouette has already been refreshed in numerous colourways, from eye-catching metallics to understated monochromatic palettes. It’s even had its fair share of collaborations too, linking up with leading luxury street labels like Aimé Leon Dore and AURALEE. Perfectly executed collaborations aside, the 1906R has also seen the ultimate NB crossover, tapping into the globally popular ‘Protection Pack’, which previously had only been seen on the New Balance 2002R.

Within its foray into the modern sneaker world, the New Balance 1906R has proven time and again that it doesn’t rely on gaudiness to stand out. And its latest iteration, known as the 1906D, are further evidence to that fact. The upcoming duo reprises successful looks from the 1906 highlight reel, packaged up into two new releases known as the ‘White/Turtledove’ and ‘Black/Silver Metallic’.

Yet again paying homage to the ‘Protection Pack', each pair bears the ‘Protection Pack’ construction, built with leather overlays and met with mesh panelling below. In terms of colour, the ‘White/Turtledove’ is almost triple white, with the shade encompassing everything from the uppers, to the N logo, laces and tongue tabs. Hits of ‘Turtledove’ are found across the overlays, and the perfect amount of cream touches the midsoles. On the other hand, the ‘Black/Silver Metallic’ goes stealth mode in triple black – save for the ‘Crimson’ Nergy logos and the white outer stitching, which can be seen on the overlay panels.
