Release Date: New Balance 550 ‘Silver Birch’

The New Balance 550 has enjoyed an eye-watering come up in recent years. Relaunched with the help of Teddy Santis and Aimé Leon Dore in 2019, the long-forgotten 1989 hooper stormed back onto centre court with a series of high profile collaborations and GR colourways. The handiwork of NB design veteran Steven Smith, the latest colourway to arrive allows all of the 550’s OG blueprints to shine through, the ‘Silver Birch’ colourway composed in a mix of white, beige and cream.

Constructed with synthetic, leather and mesh uppers for durability, the New Balance 550 is complete with its signature ‘550’ branding and ‘N’ logos atop the rubber outsoles. Adjustable lace closures offer a customisable fit, while rubber outsoles provide traction and durability.

It's not the only minimalist New Balance 550 colourway to land in recent months. The Boston-based imprint have also delivered renditions like the caffeinated 'Au Lait' and colourless greyscale 550 that again reinforces NB's central MO for the 550: keep it simple.

Look for the women’s New Balance 550 ‘Silver Birch’ to release on August 11.
