The New Balance 550 Is Dropping in a Minty Fresh White and Green Colourway

The 550 is one of New Balance's most ubiquitous shoes in 2022, a onetime low-top basketball sneaker that's been given a second life as a casual favourite. It's a silhouette that's easy to wear, significantly cheaper than most of the brand's premium retro runners and comes in a cornucopia of colours to suit any taste. The latest makeup of the Steven Smith-designed silhouette to appear is a crisp white and mint green pair that offers refreshing summer style!

Following the simple-yet-effective colourblocking scheme that's appeared on so many 550 makeups, this pair coats its upper in a mixture of white leathers both smooth and perforated, then adds vibrance with various green embellishments and branded hits. There's also a slight sail tone on the midsole for some extra contrast.

If you're looking to go green with your 550s, you can expect this pair to drop at Foot Locker on July 13. As FL looks to expand their brand offerings following the news that they'll be carrying less Nike product, we'll likely see even more 550s hit their shelves – it's a shoe that's a perfect substitute for a classic Swoosh sneaker like the Air Force 1 or the Dunk! Currently, Foot Locker has these 550s listed as a kids' release, but it's likely to touch down in adult sizes as well. The MSRP is set at $110.
