'Sea Salt' Arrives on the Teddy Santis-Curated New Balance 990v2 MADE in USA

Teddy Santis is a master of suspense, one who knows how to give his consumers exactly enough product to whet their appetite and keep their attention without making his offerings too available. He's perfected this practice with Aimé Leon Dore, and now he's brought it to his creative direction of New Balance's MADE in the USA line – which just dropped a 990v2 dubbed the 'Sea Salt.'

Using a similar scheme to the recently revealed 990v3 'Sea Salt/Rain Cloud,' this iteration of the second model in the 990 series features angelic white leather offset by cream-toned mesh tongues, laces and midsole detailing, making for a contrast that's one of Santis' favourites as seen on the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550s. There are also hints of elegant grey on the forefoot, midfoot logo, heel and outsole, while an underfoot ABZORB cushioning system ensures the comfort stacks up to the looks. Small hits of hi-vis reflective detailing are worked in throughout the design, and a MADE in USA stamp on the insole rounds off the look.

This 990v2 is currently available via raffle/pre-order on the Aimé Leon Dore webstore, and you can enter until 11:59 PM ET today, May 24. It's also set to drop via New Balance at a later date. The MSRP is set at $195.
