Kawhi Leonard Joins 'Conversations Amongst Us' with A Special Kawhi II

Creative directed by Joe Freshgoods and designed by Black Soles, a group of Black employees at New Balance, the 'Conversations Amongst Us' pack has been one of the biggest in-line releases of 2022 thus far thanks to its clean takes on the 550 and 2002R. When the collection was originally announced, it was also mentioned that Kawhi Leonard's Kawhi II and the classic 574 would be getting in on the action later in the year – and now the Kawhi II is set to make its way to shelves.

Following the yellow-and-eggshell colour scheme of its predecessors, this special take on Leonard's second signature shoe with New Balance offers a slightly aged look that's amplified further by faux-cracked detailing on the heel and the toebox's suede overlay. Tongues feature a special 'Joe and Kawhi (c. 2022), A New Day' hit, and a 'Conversations Amongst Us' graphic is spelled out on the insole. Gum outsoles round off the look. From a performance standpoint, a FitWeave upper and FuelCell midsoles offer NBA-level support, cushioning and responsiveness.

Expect the New Balance Kawhi II 'Conversations Amongst Us' to touch down on the New Balance webstore June 3. It'll be priced at $160.
