New Balance Launches the PRJ 2.0 Sneaker
have called on the help of its Design Foundry apprentices to create a new sneaker based on the performance-driven . A bevy of young talent put forward their designs, with 23-year-old Adara Dillabaugh getting the judges’ nod for her PRJ 2.0 creation.
Straying from the familiar heritage aesthetic, the PRJ 2.0 puts fashion first, combining a futuristic geometric pattern on the multilayered upper. Releasing in two colourways, the sneaker opts for lightweight mesh with hits of teal, pink and black, flaunting Dillabaugh’s sci-fi inspiration. Performance isn’t sacrificed, with the Fresh Foam More’s midsole technology retained in a beefier, elevated package. Last but not least, the tongues get tonal pull tabs, adding to the space-boot vibes.
Adara Dillabaugh’s New Balance PRJ 2.0 designs hit select retailers on March 9 for $180 USD.
