New Balance Joins Parks Project to ‘Explore and Connect’
Parks Project is an initiative founded in 2014 that creates products and conducts educational projects to help maintain the swathe of National Parks across the United States. Now, they’ve partnered with for their first-ever collaborative linkup, joining forces to create an impressive apparel collection and rework the X Hierro v7.
‘We are thrilled to work with New Balance to celebrate parks, specifically, in this case, the value of parks in cities,’ says Keith Eshelman, CEO and co-founder of Parks Project. ‘Outdoor recreation can be about the epic backcountry trip or simply enjoying nature around you in an urban green space down the street from your home or work. There doesn’t need to be a barrier to entry to get out and feel that connection to nature around you, and we know that relationship can bring immense healing and value to our lives.’
Their X Hierro v7 rocks a lush green build further bolstered by hairy suede overlays and a durable mesh upper. Inspired by the environment, the signature ’N’ logo dons an aerial city grid view, while the insoles rock custom graphics. Elsewhere, the outsole has been crafted using 30 per cent recycled rubber and 70 per cent virgin rubber.
