New Balance Serve Up the Minty Fresh 920
The 920 is a newcomer to the brand’s Made In England offering, but it’s already in good hands (well, feet) with familiar features in the midsole, and a high-profile collaboration via . Now the inline range is being bolstered with this refreshing mint-accented edition.
Built on the sturdy base of suede and mesh that’s regarded as a NB signature, there’s a fairly conventional mix of grey on the toe cap and heel counter, with stark black through the middle. The open-celled mesh inserts on the tongue and vamp are usually specific to MIE creations, as is the velvety microfibre lining. Here is where pastel mint green accents begin, seeping over to the ankle collar panel, heel embroidery, and shoe laces. For additional contrast, hot red pokes through on some of the extra panels.
Below is the aforementioned sole unit shared with the 990v3, which is still supremely popular as it approaches a decade in circulation among other hybrid NB models. This 920 exercises some unconventional colour pops underfoot, with the tri-toned midsole using a grey ENCAP carrier, but a black lateral crash pad. And the ENCAP window text is also matching in mint.
These fresh New Balance 920s are available now from global boutiques such as Packer Shoes and 43einhalb.
